County of Minburn SXS UHP/EMS Skid Unit

Unit is currently in production.

Unit Overview

  • The unit features an all aluminum construction, which not only contributes to its lightweight design but also enhances its durability and resistance to rust and corrosion. This material choice ensures that the unit can withstand harsh environmental conditions while maintaining structural integrity over time.

  • The EMS platform is designed to transport one patient on a long board or stokes basket safely and efficiently in emergencies. It accommodates various medical situations, ensuring patient care and stability. Overall, the EMS platform is essential for emergency medical services, streamlining patient transport while ensuring safety and comfort.

  • Equipped with a 75-gallon water tank, this unit provides an ample supply of water for extended operational use. The large capacity allows for longer work periods without the need for frequent refills, making it ideal for various applications, from industrial cleaning to firefighting support.

  • The unit is powered by a triplex, gearbox-driven high-pressure pump, which is designed to deliver superior performance and reliability. This type of pump is known for its efficiency in generating high pressure, ensuring that the water is delivered with the necessary force to tackle tough cleaning tasks or fire suppression efforts.

  • One of the standout features is the Dual-Strike Foam Nozzle, which allows for versatile application of foam. This nozzle can be adjusted to create different foam patterns, enabling users to adapt to various situations, whether they are dealing with flammable liquids or simply need to enhance cleaning efficiency.

  • The foam induction system integrated into the unit allows for the seamless mixing of foam concentrate with water, producing a thick, stable foam that adheres to surfaces for optimal effectiveness. This system is essential for applications requiring foam, such as fire suppression or cleaning oily surfaces.

  • To complement the foam induction system, there is a 2.5-gallon foam tank included. This tank is specifically designed to hold foam concentrate, ensuring that users have a readily available supply of foam for immediate deployment when needed.

  • Safety is a priority with the inclusion of both primary and secondary pressure relief mechanisms. These safety features are designed to prevent over-pressurization of the system, protecting both the equipment and the operator from potential hazards associated with high-pressure operations.

  • A pressure gauge is also part of the unit, providing real-time feedback on the system's pressure levels. This allows operators to monitor performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation throughout their tasks.

  • The inlet filter serves to protect the pump and internal components from debris and contaminants present in the water supply. By filtering out unwanted particles, this feature helps to maintain the longevity and efficiency of the unit, reducing wear and tear on critical components.

  • Additionally, the unit incorporates a built-in purging system, which is essential for clearing out any residual water or foam from the system after use. This feature helps to prevent clogs and ensures that the unit is ready for the next operation without the risk of contamination.

  • Powering the unit is a robust 9HP Honda electric start motor, known for its reliability and ease of use. The electric start feature simplifies operation, allowing for quick and effortless ignition, which is particularly beneficial in emergency situations where time is of the essence.

  • With a performance rating of 6.7 gallons per minute (gpm) at 1200 psi, this unit is capable of delivering a powerful stream of water, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Whether for heavy-duty cleaning tasks or effective firefighting, the combination of flow rate and pressure ensures that users can achieve their desired results efficiently.
